Our Mission
The Lighthouse is a collective of healthcare professionals in the Acadiana area working collaboratively to ensure quality, equitable, and compassionate treatment of trauma survivors in our community. We strive to empower survivors to overcome the debilitating effects of trauma so that they can regain control over their lives.
We aim to break down barriers to access mental health care by offering inclusive, empowering, and culturally-informed services. We value diversity and respect the uniqueness of each survivor's experiences, recognizing that trauma affects individuals, families, and communities differently. With a wide variety of providers and services, survivors are empowered to take control of their healing journey at a pace and manner that works best for their unique needs.
Our Vision
In our work through The Lighthouse, we share a vision of a world where trauma survivors find solace, strength, and hope on their journey towards whole-life healing. Together, we provide a beacon of that hope, supporting community resilience and nurturing the transformation from surviving the task of living to thriving in a life worth living. We are committed to fostering safe and nurturing environments in our practices, where our clients can embark on a transformative journey towards healing, growth, and resilience.
Mental health and wellness is our focus, and we seek to nurture that through the coordination of holistic services.
To further our vision of community resiliency, we also nurture professional development opportunities for area practitioners, including trauma-focused peer consultation groups and continuing education offerings.
